How It Works
A short explanation of what you are buying, where it comes from, and how it reaches you.
Every product is made in Turkmenistan
That is the single rule the store is built on. A product qualifies only if it was woven, forged, sewn, formed or made in Turkmenistan — not assembled elsewhere from Turkmen designs, and not re-labelled. Every seller signs a declaration of origin and materials for every product, and goods are checked when they arrive.
Nothing is listed until it exists
We do not list goods that are still being made, still in transit, or sitting in a catalogue somewhere. Stock is counted before a listing goes live — by our warehouse counting it in, by a scheduled video count, or by inspection. If you can add it to your cart, it is on a shelf.
Your order ships from within the United States
Goods from Turkmenistan travel in consolidated shipments, clear customs once, and are held in our warehouse in Newark, Delaware. Sellers already based in the United States hold their own stock. Either way your order is dispatched domestically and usually arrives in two to five days. These are estimates based on ordinary carrier performance, not guarantees.
There is no customs paperwork for you, and no duty to pay on delivery. That has already happened before the item was listed.
Handmade means variation
Much of what is sold here is made by hand, so no two pieces are identical. Colour, weave and dimensions vary slightly between items of the same design. Where a product is handmade we say so, list its actual measured dimensions rather than a nominal size, and show a close photograph of the surface so you can see the character of the piece before you buy it.
Provenance, where we can show it
Where we know the maker or workshop, the listing names them and the region they work in. Carpets that require a state export certificate carry one, and we publish it on the product page.
Returns
Thirty days from delivery. See Shipping & Returns for how it works and what condition goods need to be in.
If you make or hold Turkmen goods
The store is open to manufacturers in Turkmenistan and to sellers in the United States who hold goods made in Turkmenistan. What decides it is the goods, not who you are. See Sell with us.
